Each night of the week the chef prepares a variety of different dishes to satisfy those hungry hikers who have walked the island or lighter dishes for those who have not been quite as active. The dining room opens at 6pm. The menu is based upon maine's abundant fresh fare, including locally caught fish such as haddock and tuna, lobster for which maine is so well known, local scallops and mussels, together with grilled and roasted meats, and a delicious selection of vegetarian dishes. Soups, chowders and salads, and home baked desserts complement these dishes and offer an exciting start and a mouth watering finish to a relaxing dinner

Available at the barnacle as an off-premise item and can be chilled and served to you in the dining room as we, together with the other food establishments on the island, are not permitted to sell alcohol. You may also bring wine, beer or liquor to the island
